success rate after graduation

What percent of the student find a job after graduation? or if they want to go to graduatee school, how successful were they of getting in?

I really want to know not because I am a careerist, but just want to know that I will be fine after graduation, because I am going to acrue some debts.

I can say right now that my graduating friends (class of 2009) fall into two distinct categories: about half have cushy jobs or admissions to graduate schools that other undergraduates would love to have and about half “don’t know” (meaning that they have a couple of ideas in the works, but haven’t confirmed anything yet).

I will give you the data available on the CAPS website:

but I would also suggest that what students are doing one year after graduation is not as telling as what students are doing five years after graduation. I know a lot of people who teach English abroad, do Teach For America, Peace Corps, etc. for a couple of years before going to law school, business school, real world, etc. Many of my friends who are 06 graduates and earlier have returned or are returning to grad school.
