<p>Yep that’s what I did, used my common app essay for it. Also no there’s no required teacher recommendations I don’t think, but I put one in anyways.</p>

<p>I think it was mentioned before, but you should really look at Miami of Ohio. It meets your criteria and it also has a varsity synchronized skating team that you might be able to skate on.</p>

<p>TAMU is conservative (as colleges go), but they don’t take many OOS kids because both UT and TAMU have to take the top 10% of Texas students.</p>

<p>Definitely look at UCONN, it seems to have everything you want!
My D really loved it there, especially the Basketball & Football games, but she is a big fan of college basketball & football anyway. Hey and sometimes they don’t even shovel off all the sidewalks, there is some winter for you! You can live on campus for six semesters, so housing is an issue, but it is better than many of the other large flagship schools.</p>
