These are rough numbers, but they will be within reason of my predictions.

I will have around a 3.3 g.p.a, but if you exclude 2 electives I would have been somewhere around 3.6. I've gotten good grades in core classes.

I haven't schedule a really heavy courseload but I'm looking into shaking things up a little bit.

I got a mid 1200 on my psat so I assume I will be around that on my sat.

I have some E.C's that look good

I live in Syracuse,NY and have always wanted to go to The Cuse but I'm not getting my hopes up because my GPA is dragged down so much by 2 classes that have nothing to do with what I want in life.

I really don't care about the size of the school as long as it's in the east, preferably northeast. Any suggestions for reaches, matches, or safeties? Anything would help me at this point. Thanks in advance

Need more information - first, what are you interested in studying...will you need financial aid...how would you describe yourself as a person...do you care if you end up in an urban, rural or suburban area....etc. etc. Finally, what is it about Syracuse that you find attractive (aside from its location). All of this information will help us make suggestions.

If you're not applying to the Newhouse school, I think you have a decent shot at SU.

I think you still have a good shot at Syracuse, at least with state schools in CA they don't consider electives heavily on your gpa, it's mainly the core classes.

If your interests fit, apply to SUNY-ESF (commonly known as the Frostry school at Syracuse University). You get all the benefits of being a student at SU (SU dorms, student tickets to SU sporting events, etc) at the cost of in-state SUNY tuition.

If I can't go to a school in an urban area I would like to go to a good school within 20 or 30 minutes of an urban area. I think sports is a huge part of me, I grew up going to a lot SU basketball games every year. My mom works at SU so I would be able to get financial help if I went their, and I could get help at any of the schools listed at tuitionexchange.org. I don't really know much about the schools on the list or many in the Northeastern Region so any imput will help. Thanks for any help.
