Suggestions/chances...basically-HELP!

Ok so I'm looking to transfer out of Smith College. I have about a 3.4 maybe 3.5 gpa. I'm involved in Crew, Debate, Smith Christian Fellowship and Smith Republicans. I'm looking to apply to Bates, maybe Bowdoin and Washington and Lee. I was waitlisted at Bates last year.

HS.
Top 10% of class
EC's: school newspaper editor in cheif, regional debate champ and captain, Mock trial captain, model congress-best speaker, outreach prefect (organized community service activities), over 350 hours of community service, NHS vp, tennis captain, all western MA player.

good recs for HS and will get good college recs.

so chances? I know its a crapshoot, but yeah lemme know what you think.

ummm... any other suggestions for schools? I'm looking for a good reputation, coed, great community, school pride, noortheast and (northern) southern states, parties and drinking dont bother me...

THANKS!!!

...........anyone?

just wondering..why are you transferring out of smith?

just a warning: W&L takes very few transfers so chances are automatically not too good

Yeah I nixed W&L anyways, I'm going for Bates and maybe another...not sure who that will be yet. Any suggestions would be splendid.

Supercow- Most of my reasons are posted on the long Smith thread. But in short, Academically all is well, I just don't care for the all womens environment. I dont think it presents reality. Also, socially...not too good. Its hard to describe. Do an overnight. Smith is great, just not for everyone. I think thats clearly shown in their retention rate. I always loved Bates, it has great community, more school pride, the 4-4-1 calendar and much more that is more appealing to me. I'm just very unhappy at Smith and I think Bates can offer me more. Thats why I want to transfer. Also, to be honest (Bates will be liberal as well) but I think that Smith is radically so. Sometimes it just drives me crazy. Not to mention Bates fantastic Republican group!
