Suggestions for second majors or minors please

I am in CALS, can I minor in other schools?
What is a good major or minor to combine with business in AEM? (without having to overload too much.) I am interested in nature, evolution biol., ecology and the application of biol. sciences. Any suggestions?

-No
-I personally am not at all a fan of double majoring and am even less a fan of double majoring in two mostly unrelated areas like AEM and Bio. However, if you want to do that, I have no suggestions...I'm assuming since AEM is your current major it's also your primary interest, so if you really want to double major in a mostly unrelated field you should just pick what you enjoy. Take classes in natural resources, ecology, etc. and see what you like. None of those options are going to "enhance" an AEM degree, so it's really all about what you yourself like

I agree with the above poster in that you cannot double major in two colleges. You would have to actually enroll in two colleges and satisfy the graduation requirements in both which is onerous for most students.

However, if you chose to double major in AEM and one of the sciences it would work within CALS. In the real world you can become an analyst at one of the big investment banking firms in a science related industry (i.e. pharmaceuticals, biotech, farming, etc.) or – you might be suited to work as a business consultant to a pharmaceutical company, etc. It could open up some doors for you if you have a practical understanding of a complicated industry. I am assuming from your screen name that you might have an interest in the area of bioengineering. From a business vantage point, that industry has seen tremendous growth in the last few years.

Cornell believes in the synergy between business and science so much that it established the Susan E. Lynch Professorship in it a few years ago.

I don't think you are even allowed to double major between contract and non-contract colleges. My guess is it is a tuition thing...

but you can minor
