Hey everyone!
I’ve decided to transfer in the spring to a different college. I am currently a sophomore in college majoring in math and secondary education. Does anyone have any suggestions of colleges with a well-known education and math department? Also, it would be nice if the college is diverse as well since I am Sri Lankan that was born in a Chicago suburb.
What’s your GPA? What’s your budget?
Why do you want to transfer?
Are you an Illinois resident?
Why do you want to transfer?
My GPA is a 4.0 and I want to transfer because my tuition increased, my math education program at my current school is very small, and there is no emphasis on extracurriculars. Yes I’m an illinois resident and I cannot really afford college. FYI, I receive a MAP grant of $4000.
ISU, UIUC => logical steps for an Illinois resident
St Olaf => excellent math, has education, meets full need
Grinnell, Northwestern, UChicago => if you’re lower income and have a 4.0, it’s worth trying even if the odds are low
