Suggestions please

Hello,

I'm going to be a rising senior and my first SAT score is pretty low: 1510. I didn't bother to study or review for it.

Since it is now summer, I was hoping to use my time efficiently to prepare for the October SAT.

I was reading up on using Xiggi's method with the BB and wondering if the TCB online program was any useful.

Any suggestions appreciated :)

Have you finished all the tests in the BB? If so, then I guess you could get the online program because it has 6 more “real” tests. But I would finish all the tests in the BB before buying the online program.

The tests are useful, but nothing else is. Don’t spend your money on it until you’ve used up all the other tests available to you.

^ Yeah, and maybe he/she will too.

No need to be so such an ass about it.

^ He/she will what - spend money? And no one’s being “such an __”…it was just advice.

I would also recommend working through all the BB practice tests and perhaps the 10 Real SATs. If practice and careful checking of errors don’t boost your score, then try improving your skills in individual sections (learn more vocab for CR, outline more essays for Writing, get all the concepts mastered for Math). Online programs may help, but try the other options first.

Yeah I don’t see how 112358 was being an ass.

But @OP: I hear Rocket Review and Grammatix is really good for teaching the concepts, but as for practice tests, like Xaari & previous posters have said, nothing beats the BB and 10RS.

AHH Sorry 112358!! I was referring to another member whose post was deleted! Should have quoted. Didn’t mean any harm :(

Oh haha, no problem. I was kind of confused about that. :P

Thanks, will redo my test in BB. Also, anyone used direct hits? Is it useful?

Direct Hits is highly recommended by most people on this forum.
