any suggestions?

oh and uhhhh forgot to add stuff.

1) circumstances:

-joint custody between parents who both make under 60K/yr

-living in the middle of the pacific ocean on an island with an increasing cost of living and a decreasing quality of life

-my high school serves probably the most underprivileged/traditional Micronesian area on island. many students are ESL and avg reading level there is about 7th grade. low scores on standardized tests = less funding = minimal resources: outdated library; lack of calculators and computers available for students; NO SCIENCE EQUIPMENT save some beakers, microscopes and some slides; ONE foreign language class (Japanese); no gym facilities, all gym classes are held outside of campus; few electives (no music, auto mechanics, band, drama/theatre, etc.); not enough $$$ to buy classic books for english classes to read, which has recently led one senior to ask “what’s a shakespeare?”; no money incentives for qualified teachers, thus we are stuck with some highly UNqualified teachers; NO AP CLASSES, which i absolutely hate; and other stuff, but honestly i really don’t need to say any more than i already have >_<

2) colleges i’m considering…
-ucla
-boston college
-u of south florida bs/md
-penn state u bs/md
-nyu
-barnard college (REEEEEAAAAAACCCHHHHHHH!)
-george washington u bs/md
-rice; not a fan of houston and never considered the school, but they sent me an email on cappex so i thought i’d check it out

…anybody?
