I wasn't going to say anything on here about this, but since there's a lesson from it, I thought I'd get a message across. As some of you may know who were PM'ing me yesterday, I attempted suicide on Tuesday night.

Depression, anger, having no social life, lack of motivation, hate of parents, losing overall interest in everything and everyone... It all just sort of hit me.

I wanted to get a good message across from this. No matter how much your life "sucks" or how mch you want to "kill" whoever or whatever, suicide and/or infliction of harm upon yourself is the worst and most retarded thing you can do. Everyone on this planet was created for a reason, even if we don't feel like it, and we shouldn't let God, or anyone else for that matter, down by not doing what we were put here to do.
Suicide is the most selfish and inhumane thing that someone can do. It leaves other people living in fear that they were to blame. No one wants to feel like that!
Everyone on this Forum is bright, and is awaiting a succssful future filled with happiness. So, you get rejected from UVA; it sucks, but move on. You're still smart, and are looking forward to a great future. Deferred from Stanford? Sure, it's okay to have a few tears over, but it (as everything else in your teen life is) is such a MINIMAL part of your life that won't matter whatsoever in 20 years.
I don't want to see anyone on here lose their future critical role in society by doing anything like I did. I really don't. It's not worth it.

I'm glad you're ok and I agree that suicide is the most selfish thing anyone can do. You leave all your friends and family mourning because you couldn't handle life. Good luck with admissions and the rest of your life WishWash.

lol. this wouldve been on the local news.
"White Bear Lake Teen attempts suicide. College Confidential, a site for college discussion, causes severe depression and suicide. There is an ongoing investigation into the forums of this site."

And I must say, I agree with everything you said 100%. I am so glad to know that there are people there like you who have attempted suicide and have "seen the light," if you will. Every life does have meaning; I believe that with all my heart.

Personally, I really get a lot out of other people. I love meeting new people, no matter what they are like, and I love learning about other people's lives and really just observing life in all forms. There are so many people out there that mean SO MUCH to me..more than they would ever know. You mean so much more to other people than you would ever guess/know. I know suicidal people don't feel this, but it really is true. Anyway, that's my two cents- from my experiences.

Damn, man... That's tough. Glad to see you're still here.

I can tell you this... if you're feeling depressed, College Confidential definitely isn't going to make you feel better about yourself. LOL, just keep your head up bro.
