In case anyone might be visiting campus this summer (or just vacationing in the Myrtle Beach area) I thought I would let you know that a number of the CCU students will be performing at the theatres in Myrtle Beach. I know for sure that there are CCU students in all 3 summer shows at Celebration Music Theatre:

Hopefully someone will chime in if there are students performing at any of the other theatres. There will also be CCU students performing at various summer stock theatres all over the country so if you are taking in some summer stock shows, make sure you read those playbills and see if you spot any CCU students.

There is a big spreadsheet of summer work floating around somewhere, but off the top of my head here’s a list of some of the theatres that current students (not even including alumni) will be working at this summer:

-Theatre By The Sea
-Florida Repertory Theatre
-Bigfork Summer Playhouse
-Ohio Light Opera
-Hangar Theatre
-Weathervane Theatre (NH)
-Weathervane Playhouse (OH)
-The Lost Colony
-Central Piedmont Summer Theatre
-Atlantic Stage (Myrtle Beach)
-The Palace Theatre (Myrtle Beach)
-Celebration Music Theatre (Myrtle Beach)

This is also in addition to everyone who was cast in our Maymester workshop of the musical, Bigfoot and Other Lost Souls, which begins soon and is a new work Mark Hollmann (Urinetown) and Adrien Royce.
