Summer Activities

I've run into a bit of a problem. I intended to get a job this summer close to my home, but I've applied virtually everywhere and have been unable to come up with anything. It's not exactly like I've done nothing the last four summers--I went to an outdoors expeditions/wilderness survival-type camp for 6 weeks in the Southwest. What about this summer, though? What if I can't find a job/any regular structure to my schedule for the summer--just irregular volunteer work or something like that? Will colleges see that as major slacking? And will it hurt my application to not have any formal work experience on it (I'm way too busy during school to even think about having a job)?

Oh, and I'm a rising senior. Figures that this would happen now.

Any advice/insight? Thanks.

They will not see it as major slacking - you don't always have to attend a prestigious camp/program, internship, job, or something like that.

Doing something that you like while making it productive is probably good, and plus you talked about volunteering? Nothing wrong with that..
Also not everyone has a job. I doubt it would hurt you.

I'm not really getting a job during this summer or anything also, I'm staying home and having fun, relaxing for the most part, but then again I'm rather early in my high school years.

You shouldn't worry much,
