My D went to the early college program at SAIC for photography and loved it. Unlike some of the summer programs, SAIC immerses you in one class, six hours per day, five days a week. There are evening workshops (two required in your discipline), two elective in varied subjects. I believe there were only eight students in the day time class, with a professor and TA. Although it is not inexpensive, they have both two-week and three-week options, as well as an opportunity for merit scholarship through the submission of a portfolio. She (and we) would recommend it.
