Eh, do you guys have lots of summer assignments? I do, well i think it's a lot. And i havent started any. :( eh. I have 3 books to read with a min. of 5 pages to write on each(themes, character development, including documented evidence). Then i have a 5-7 page paper for history(again, must cite quotes from 2 textbook chapters which i must read, a25 page packet and a chapter of a book called The American Political Tradition). In addition for history, I have 30 fill in the blank and 40 multiple choice questions and a test on the material when school starts. THEN I have 500ish french vocab words to learn, a grammar review packet which I'll be tested on, a french short story to read(tested on, and questions packet), a 5 minute french presentation to prepare. And um, I should study some vocab and crap for the psat, as if i have time..since i also have a job and internship;) and a glimmer of hope of that i can do all this and still have tons of fun.

Wow, i really didnt think listing all that would take up so much space, but this thread isnt just about my misery, give me company...summer assignements of your own which you're tirelessly procrastinating on? i know you're out there!

Have you ever filed a formal complaint about a teacher? One of my teachers was so incredibly bad last year. She used A LOT of profanity, put people down, smoked!, ignored our questions, made fun of people who asked questions, deducted points arbitrarily, told us she hated teaching, told us misinformation, etc. I felt really bad for one boy. She told him that he wasn't college material in front of everyone. This was an honors class. She picked everyone that made it into the class. She is head of her department. I pulled an A+ in the class, but she is such a loser. Would you complain?

Haha, 2 English books to read along with some weird log things for every 30 pgs. (what is this elementary school?) and of course papers on both of them.... and a couple chapters from AP Bio. Plus I kinda wanna look at my PSEO Econ and Philosophy books before I dive in......

But yeah, it's still July.......and you know there's always August, haha

I've got about 100 pages left for AP English Lang, but I think I have to annotate, too, and "become on expert" on three chapters. Ehh I don't really want to think about the annotations, they'll probably be really sparse. Otherwise, the book/readings are interesting. I haven't started on AP Gov at all though, which is OK 'cause there'll be a test on the reading so I'll want to be fresh. And I need to learn java & study for SAT Chem, sighh. GreenDayFan, your summer homework looks HECK hectic. o.O

I've never had a summer assignment either! And I would deffinetly complain about this teacher! If I had a teacher like that I would definetly go into action, people like that should not be teaching, period.

The only summer assignment I have is for a class called "College Prepatory Writing Honors." I have to pick six colleges and write a 10 sentance rationale on why I chose it and then find the writing portion of the application and write an essay for each college.

lol I will just list what an amazing amount of stuff I had for the previous summer:

Tristan and Iseult
Dante Alighieri – Hell
Francesco Petrarca – Canzoniere
Giovanni Boccaccio – Decameron
Miguel de Cervantes - Don Quixote de la Mancha
Shakespeare – Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet
Jean-Baptiste Moli

Ha, we have our summer assignments due in the middle of the summer (we have to go to the school and hand them in). Mine first one is due today at 11AM and I just started it at 12:45am.

well i have 7 books, Angelas Ashes, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, Down in out in Paris and London, The Motor Cycle Diaries, and the 3 Shelby Foote Narratives on the Civil War,to read 4 for AP language 3 for AP USH, must write a 4 pages book review on each AP USH book, 8 chapters of outline for AP Bio, a lab for AP Bio, 4 Short essay questions for AP Bio, and a 10 page research paper for AP Bio

I got 2 books to read for english and then I have to write 2 essays for them (1 for each). We have a test over them the second day of school. I also have to do the first chapter of calculus and we get tested over that the second day also.
