Do you also have summer homework?

Like for math or for an AP class?

Yes; summer reading and an AP Bio packet.

Our school got rid of summer reading as part of an AP grant.

Yeah, more than a couple of books for summer reading for AP Lit, like a 50 page AP Calc BC packet, and a project as well for AP Lit. And some unknown AP Euro work as well, which I've never heard exactly what it is.. :[

First 15 chapters of American Pageant for APUSH

Some AP Lit and AP Bio stuff.

APUSH II:
15-page research paper on the Legacy of the American Reconstruction

Brit. Lit.:
Read -
Life of Pi
Frankenstein
Saint Joan

I remember when we had to read Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond the summer before sophomore year for WH, AHHHHHH. That was.. terrible. Terribly long. as was Patriots -The Men Who Started the American Revolution [A.J. Langguth]. Our school is pretty big on summer assignments.

Yep.

H. Precalculus = geometry review packet
H. English 300 = read Frankenstein and answer questions
AP U.S. History = read three books and write 5-7 pg. paper
AP Chemistry = read textbook and solve problems
AP Physics = read textbook and solve problems

Nothing for H. Spanish IV though--gracias a Dios, because I think that the above list is enough. :) I think it's weird that I'll probably have less summer work when I'm a rising senior...

^ Lu Jinny, that is no summer. No one started a protest yet?!

I have to read 2 books for english. That's it. I feel kind of bad for you guys with a ton of homework.

AP World...which I will bs in end of August.

English II Honors...um, screw that.

2 packets for AP Italian
Vocabulary list and two essays for APUSH

Not too bad.

Just gonna get my feet wet with calculus over the summer.

Summer reading for AP English Lit. that i havent quite started on. oops

Summer reading-1800 pages...in 8 weeks. KILL ME NOW!

I gave myself a week off, but I am starting tommororw. I need to get at least one book done; I'll only have like 5 days after I get home from my summer program (which is starting in a week). I am so going to lose it.

No other hw though!

Hahahaha, gosh I feel bad for you all. I'm doing PSEO full-time at the University of Minnesota in the fall......and as we all know, colleges don't give out summer homework :-)

For the first time in my life.....well, like 5 years.....I'm FREE!

I feel so lucky s compared to everyone here who ius required to read certain books. I am one of the few soon-to-be juniors to take a college-level English course in my grade, and the teacher just said to "keep reading". I can read whatever I want. :D

I have to read two books: The Alchemist and 1000 Splendid Suns. I must write 3 journal entries on each book.

In addition, I have to learn 10 chapters of German all by myself. My German teacher wants me to skip the German II class and go into German III because my current class needs to slow it down for people to get good grades. Therefore I have to selfstudy the German II curriculum this summer and pass the exam right before school starts. So far, I'm halfway through with the German.

I have one book to read and take notes on for Honors US History. But we have a choice between 5-6 books, and I find the topics interesting, so it's fine by me.

Packet for AP Spanish
4 books for AP English
1 book and a few chapters of notes for AP US History
AP Calc packet
