<p>My sister concentrated on making money. She babysat for two women, one who is our neighbor, and the other a woman to whom the first recommended my sister. She also worked at a bakery. College is really expensive, so having that money for books, for your computer (my sister had to pay for about half of hers) for all the food and entertainment costs you rack up in college, etc. is a good idea.
Besides that, I’d also recommend spending time making lasting memories with friends. If you want to do an internship or anything else “helpful” do so. One of my friends did community service in Latin America, working hard at something she was really into, as she had won several awards and scholarships for her community service and it was her main EC and essay topic on apps to prestigious colleges, the most prestigious (perhaps) of which she got into and now attends, and improving her Spanish skills. But if you don’t feel quite up to it, relax. I’m sure you deserve the break.</p>

<p>My parents will murder me if I don’t get a job. I need some spending money for when I leave… Thought about taking a summer class in Russian also at the local college, but that sort of works in the opposite direction - spending money as opposed to making it.</p>
<p>So unless you’ve already got all the $$$ you’ll need for next year or your parents don’t expect you to contribute, I’d get a job…</p>

<p>lol at the europeans with their IB exams. my school just got approved of IB lol im soooo glad i dont have to do that crap. i might just chill with friends, go on a road trip, go to parties, take a college class, maybe self study some stuff, learn programming, maybe go on vacation with family</p>
