if any of you are like me, you consider yourself to be "math/science" challenged...

and with so many colleges having a strict core requiring you to take math/science courses with kids who have gotten 5s on the AP test, is anyone else a bit nervous?

What I'm planning on doing is taking calc/chem/physics courses over the spring and summer term at local community colleges and universities...anyone else thinking of doing this?

1) H doesn't give credit for college courses except for transfer students.

2) I'm so burnt out from school/summer programs/tests/etc: I just want this to be a summer to relax and smell the flowers. Then I'll feel ready and rejuvenated for H next fall.

:)

I'm not taking the courses in order to transfer them, I'm taking them so I don't fail out when I get there

There are easy core classes in Math that you can take if you're not good at math - Calculus (and basically real Math of any kind) can be completely avoided here, if you feel that strongly about it. I've always sucked at math, so I'm taking The Magic of Numbers for my core and being done with it.

o, really? wow...this is a great piece of news :)

then again, the fact that I'm not good at math/science makes me want to take hard classes even more...i feel insulted that i think i won't do well...i'll just have to work twice as hard i guess- which i've never been afraid to do
