Summer college course or AP course or both?

I'm taking college courses over the summer, but I'm undecided about which courses to take. Introductory Psychology is offered to high-schoolers as a course for college credit, but I'm also planning to take AP Psych in my high school as an upperclassman. Both AP psych and the psychology college course are for college credit, so is it kind of pointless to take both? But then again I think some people do do this, if not for psychology then for some other subject. So, is this a wise thing to do? (:

Oh and yes the two courses are about the same. AP Psych can replace the introductory psych course. I don’t really see how you could get anything more out of taking a similar course twice…
