Summer College

I just got accepted into ILR as a transfer, non-gt. Yeah!

In an effort to better associate myself with Cornell, Ithaca, and the students, I am heavily considering taking out the loans to take a class or two during the summer. It will probably consist of Calculus 1 and a possibly prereq. I do have some questions though.

Will it be difficult to complete these courses over the summer? I am worried about my GPA as I go into these courses. I fair well in math and I am excellent in social science. Do you guys believe it's worth it?

I can also just take calculus/a prereq at my current CC and do an internship...but I really want to be catch up and be able to take advantage of the opportunity.

Thoughts on your own personal experience or that of others?

Homies?????

well...depending on the intensity of your HS and 1st college...you may need to take some time to adjust to Cornell. Summer courses prob wouldn't be the way to do b/c it will be intense..you have a lot to learn in a short amount of time.

For this reason...I would advise against taking summer courses now. If you want to get to know Cornell and Ithaca...come visit for a weekend. Summer is a beautiful time up here!
