I am thinking about taking Physics over the summer @ Cornell. I was wondering if anyone knew how hard the courses over the summer are in comparison to semester courses.

which physics? Most of the intro classes, like Chem 207 etc... are pretty easy over the summer.

I took 207 last summer, and while the mean was still set to a B- like a regular semester class, the material was basically dumbed down because their were alot of high school kids in the class. They have to teach the material very quickly, so you basically have long lectures and recitations 3 days a week, and long labs twice a week.

I got an A- and it wasn't hard at all. Not nearly as difficult as any engineering class I've taken so far (I'm a sophomore).

If you're premed, it's not advisable to take any premed course over the summer.

Anyone take any ILR classes over the summer? I was thinking about getting some of my sophomore requirements out of the way so that I could have a year to take classes that I want.

i'm not pre-med. Actually, I decided to switch things up, and am planning to take Math 294 & Engr 270 (good idea?)

i want to take the hotel leadership one during the summer, and my friend got a b+...but he's really smart. I'm not that smart but I really want to get an A to impress cornell that im ready for their hotel administration school....should I go for it? or stay safe?

..answers??

i heard that they tone it down a little bit because they know a bunch of high schoolers take it. thats all i know though
