I have been mulling over taking some courses at some local universities like Temple or Villanova. What are some courses at IU that I could bypass by taking such courses at another university? Also, I would take the classes this summer, months before I am actually a student at IU. Is that possible?

You should use this link to see what classes transfer. You could take finite over the summer, but I’m not really sure why you would need to take summer classes. You’ll come in with a bunch of credits and should have room in your schedule to minor, double major and/or go for honors notation etc anyway. You can take classes this summer as long as you get approved by the University you are taking them at.
