Summer Coursework for Fall '12 Admission (UCSC)

<p>I know many of the UC's require that coursework (60 units/7 course pattern) be completed by the end of Spring prior to transfer. I came across this nifty little chart the other day:</p>

<p>I intend on transferring to UCSC this fall. Say by some chance, not all of my units transferred (I spent a year at an out of state institution) and I was declined admission for not meeting the 60 unit requirement, does this mean I could complete courses over the Summer to meet the 60 units? Would you just petition their decision? This is the absolute worst case scenario, which I doubt will happen, but I'd rather be over-prepared than not at all.</p>

<p>Oh, and one other thing. If that were to happen, how would I report that to the college? As of right now, I have no intention of taking Summer classes so I’m not reporting any Summer '12 coursework…</p>
