On the application, it says to list up to three Summer Activities (reading, etc) and up to three Employment experiences. What if we had summer employment at a research facility? Do we list this on both the Summer Activities portion AND the Employment experience portion? Thanks.

Oh yes and I’m sorry if this has been asked before, but can we put self-studied APs on the self reported coursework portion? Thanks again!

So many questions! OK so it says if you have done research to submit a rec from mentor and an Abstract/executive summary in the optional section. HOWEVER, I wanted to write something else about me in that section. Am I allowed to mai/fax the abstract/executive summary with the supplemental document attached as a cover sheet to MIT so that I have the space in the optional section to put my additional essay?

The application is very flexible. You can put it on both if you feel like it, but I suggest you just put it in one. If you felt like the job was more for employment, then put it under employment. If you did it more as a fun activity, put it under activity.

You can’t put self-studied AP in the course section because you didn’t take the course. But you can put it into the AP section that MIT has.

You should put all additional things in the optional space. Be aware that optional essay is usually not looked on as important as the other essays. Being concise is better.

ok i see. I was planning on putting why I wanted to go to MIT in the optional section but I guess I will bring that up in my interview

If u did something significant in winter can you put tht under the activities? cuz im assuming its basically wht u do during your holiday
