Summer HS Program: Academic Connections UCSD extension - possible to transfer credits?

My son will be attending the Academic Connections program this summer. UCSD extension gives credit for one class to the students in this program. Has anyone heard details on whether the credit could be transferred to a community college?
Our high school is very averse toward classes taken elsewhere and has declined to consider this class for elective credit. Has anyone had luck being able to utilize the academic connections class toward their UC GPA (listing course as a ‘G’ even though not on our high school’s a-g list? Or transferring it to a community college?

Thanks!

I’m going to try to transfer this class to a community college. Then it would help toward an eventual transfer from the CC to a 4 year.

Grades are now published at UCSD Extension.
Next going to see if Sac. City College will give my son transfer credit for Intro to Anthropology. UCSD course number of 90007 may cause some confusion in the transfer evaluation process. Fingers crossed (wish us luck).

This is what I found on the UCSD extension website.

If your son wants a-g course credit for his HS and/or transfer credit, he should take courses at the local CC.

Got a reply back from Sac. City Coll. they credited my son with 3 units in Philosophy but not for a specific class (e.g. Intro to Anthropology which is UC transferable). So it’s great the UCSD Academic Connections Summer program did create college credit.

@diegodavis: Thanks for the update. I have found the CSU’s are far more generous for College and AP credit than the UC’s.
