Summer Jobs

How hard has it been for you to find a job over the summer during college? I know that the summer is half over, but even when the summer had just started, I was having a difficult time finding a job, and never did. I got calls/interviews from Cold Stone, Macy's, Bath & Body Works, a local grocery store, a local nursing home, Von Maur, and upon them finding out that I was a college student, they replied that they were looking for somebody more permanent than about two months. Any advice for trying to find a job for the next summer?

There really isn’t a lot you can do…just apply apply apply and hope you get one.

Start trading stocks, use college scholarships to fund your brokerage account…Whats the worst that can happen? ¬_¬

Since I just moved, I’m going to wait until the fall to get a job. My parents actually decided they wanted me to work for them (doing needlework and embroidery), so I might just do that. I don’t know though, I kind of want to get a job where I can get discounts/free food, or is just near my school.
