I already applied- sent it in with the essay and everything today (A day after I read the email!) I'm really excited and hope to get picked for it!!

Anyone already go to it in previous years? What do you do?

Well honestly, I really want to be in a leadership position in college and I hope I get in because this is a golden opportunity to start! It might also look good on resumes ( :

My application is sent in. Who could resist the call of being "an ambassador of pluralism at UCI" (or something along those lines)?

I don't think there's any credit for the program; just an opportunity to get an early foothold in the area. You know, get to know the faculty, explore the possibilities, fall in love, and play with the rabbits.

There's no way to know if I'll make it in. But I was just curious about how "culturally diverse" UCI really is. My friends on campus often mention that they feel like another number, and that it's hard to find anyone that really stand out.

I think they're wrong, I know there's something to see beyond the surface of UCI's college life. I'm hoping to find out myself through that summer program.
Anyone else will join me to chase rabbits around the campus if we make it in?

My essay was exactly 990 words. Eloquence and creativity, brutally hampered by character limits and requirement: the down side of applications...

I chose prompt 1 and 2, describing my experiences abroad. I added a resume, omitted the letter of recommendation, and decided to send it through postal service. It was just for the sense of tradition.

I wanted to reiterate the original question: does anyone know what are the activities in the institute? What do we exactly do there?
