Does any one know of any summer music programs for a freshman considering majoring in music later on?

Have you considered FSU’s summer program?

A few friends of mine attended last summer and loved it. Not sure if it’s Florida exclusive though

Towson, (Baltimore, MD) has a good summer music institute. The teachers are great and students are carefully selected through auditions. they always have it at the end of June. (two wks.)

Very expensive, but it is a glorious place and a great program:

thanx y’all. I wish I knew of one closer to where I live

What are considered average PSAT scores for a freshman? what are considered advanced scores?

PSAT matters but what matters more is your extracurricular. Did you tryout for all state if your state has one?

I did tryout for all state but didn’t get in. :(

^ aww, I’m sorry. I’m gonna try out however. thanx every1 for such great ideas. I want to improve my playing.

I didn’t make qualifications for All State. I had to make a high score in All District and I didn’t make All District. I’m only a freshman so better luck next year I guess.

There are 2 competing music camps in Oneonta, New York. One at Hartwick College, one at SUNY Oneonta. Skidmore College (Saratoga Springs, NY) also has one.
