<p>Did anyone get an email from Tanglewood thanking them for app and saying decisions would be emailed by early next week? Is it generic or does it mean anything?</p>
<p>D heard from Interlochen vocal soloist today (acceptance) but she hasn't decided yet.</p>
<p>My D was accepted into the Castleman Quartet program. We haven't yet heard from the others.</p>
<p>My son (cello) also is accepted to the Quartet Program.</p>
<p>My son was accepted by Opera North, for vocal performance. He's accepting that one.</p>
<p>My son has not heard anything from BUTI. Has anyone else besides prefect's D heard anything?</p>
<p>I have some questions - and just pure curiosity</p>
<p>How many summer programs/festivals did you apply to? And what was your main reason for applying to a specific one? (i.e. the teacher/faculty was top priority; location (wanted to be in Europe or Canada or whatever); cost (or only applied to programs that were pretty much tuition-free? or cost was not a huge factor) </p>
<p>And if you applied to numerous programs and got accepted to all of them, how are you going to decide which one to attend? </p>
<p>As I said - I am just really curious to hear a few answers!</p>

We haven't heard anything. We did not hear anything last year until the acceptance came.</p>
<p>BUTI will send and e mail then a package. Last year's e mail came on March 21.</p>
<p>Has anyone gotten word from Brevard for High School Voice?</p>
<p>Sorry I abandoned this thread. Just finished exam week at UChicago a few hours ago and I had ridiculous mountains of work. No word on the rest of my summer festivals -- wait-listed at Menlo which is kind of pointless considering that they don't really take basses. Still no word from Banff, Sarasota, Lucerne, Kent/Blossom, or YOA.</p>
<p>My daughter was in the Vocal Soloist Studies program at Interlochen last summer and the quality of instruction was phenomenal. With less than 25 accepted to the program, the kids were kept incredibly busy and received a lot of individual attention. My daughter would tell you that last summer changed her life and that she wishes she could go back this year - the VSS program is one that you only do once. The classes she took were fabulous, the Master classes were great, she got to meet, speak with, and have her picture taken with Renee Fleming when she came to visit her own daughter and stopped in to the VSS program, (my daughter was a freshman in high school and was completely in awe), and she came home and applied so much of what she learned to her regular vocal studies. She also made really great friends that she remains in touch with. All in all, it was a really great experience.</p>
<p>S2, age 15, got a large envelope in the mail today that he was accepted to Interlochen on full scholarship! He is a violinist.</p>

<p>My daughter was accepted to the Solo Studies program and we are thrilled. However, don't add us to the list because without scholarship, this may be the classic case of knowing you got in is just as good as going! We have a couple weeks to figure it out though!</p>
