Summer programs? Difficulty?

Hi all,
I am very interested in applying for an engineering summer program to experience the engineering field (esp. Computer engineering)
Are there any programs that would be great to get a glimpse of this major during the summer so I can actually see if I am interested?

I am a junior right now, and I have taken: Biology Honors, Chemistry Honors, AP Biology (for science)
English 1 - 2 Honors and AP English Language (for English)
Algebra II/Trig, Math Analysis, and AP Calc BC (for math)

I am wondering if the science research internships (or any summer program) are very difficult and completely different than high school curriculum. During high school, we never really get hands on experience at a lab and never learned in-dept about certain topics, so will these summer programs be a completely new material? I'm just afraid that if I do join these programs, I won't understand any of the topics we are learning or researching about.

Thanks.

Are you female? D did this one last year and enjoyed it: http://engineering.temple.edu/summer-programs/we2</a> - not expensive at all. Small groups, different types of engineering covered, they went to NASA and out to the shore. A good program though only a week long.
