Summer programs for English junkies.

I did Harvard SSP summer 06 and LOVED it, and so I'm thinking of sumer programs for next year already. However, I'm debating... I know that summer college programs aren't very prestigious or selective, but with that in mind, I did love the college experience and would do it again more for fun.

So for next summer I'm thinking of going back to Harvard or trying out Stanford.

But I also would like to do something that would stand out more AND be interesting to me. I love writing, all kinds (expository, poetry, fiction, ethnography), and am wondering if there are any prestigious programs or camps for those fields. Preferably inexpensive or financial aid available.

I took advanced creative writing at Columbia and it was awesome.

Definitely look into that. :)

Thank youuu :) Do they have a resident program? Because when I looked at their summer program, it didn't seem to include room & board...

Yeah, they house all the high school students at Hartley, John Jay, and Wallach. Make sure you're looking at the Columbia High School Summer Program and not the program for credit.

Interlochen

TASP

look up both of them using Google
