Summer reading?

OK, really stupid question, but my d doesn't want to call the school and ask. She's a bit concerned because it seems that a lot of her friends have some sort of summer reading requirement. We've looked through all the stuff she got from Rochester and haven't found any assignments at all.

Did we miss something? Or is it a result of the Rochester curriculum - if no course is required, how can a reading be required?

Thanks (and please don't laugh too hard!)

Our D hasn't received any summer reading assignment from UR either.

She's having too much fun right now reading all the stuff she couldn't read during the school year because she was too busy with her school work!

(Oh, and working to pay her soon-to-be-arriving tuition bill!!)

There is no summer reading or placement tests. Anything academic related occurs during orientation, i.e. class registration, finding out advisor, etc.

Enjoy the summer.

I love the way Rochester does this - no summer orientation, no summer reading. Just show up in the fall and get ready to go.

Thanks, Insane!

the only assignment you may be asked to complete is the writing assignment...where u send in some writing samples and complete a writing sample online through the rochester website...for cas 105...or if they're deciding if cas 105e is better for u...but even if u can't do that over the summer, u can arrange to have it done during orientation...
