<p>I've never taken summer courses so I don't know how compressed the work is.</p>
<p>In most cases, not at all feasible. In the summer, you learn the materials in twice the pace, so go figure.
The rule of thumb is you multiply by 2 to get the equivalent units if they are taken in a full semester. So in this case, if I were you I don't think I can handle 24 units of tech weeder courses in one semester lol.</p>
<p>In fact, I would say there is enough stress in Bio 1A/1AL alone. At least I did when I took them in the summer a couple of years ago</p>
<p>Your schedule is not advisable at all. That schedule would be intense in a regular semester; in the summer? Pretty near impossible.</p>
<p>Imagine any one class you take as being equal to two or more regualr classes. My D took two courses one session which should be a full time load yet she was the only one in either class taking two, every one else had one. She did fine, but it was really intense.</p>

<p>Honestly? That is a hard schedule. And not only like, 'putting most of your time into it"-hard, I mean you would be putting all your time into those and still probably wouldn't do great in them. I wouldn't advise taking that course load at all.</p>
<p>I read in the summer school booklet that one needs 6 units to get financial aid? Given most classes are around 4 units, where are we able to squeeze in an extra two? Im assuming there are no decals/seminars offered over the summer...</p>
<p>And how many hours should one expect to put into a class like chem 3b over the summer? Is it not advisable to also work part time?</p>

<p>Not to mention that you're not allowed to take more than 10 units per session during the summer. Considering that all of those classes you mentioned are during Session C, you can't take all of those courses unless you get permission from the summer academic advising people.</p>
<p>I took Bio1A/L and Chem3B together during the REGULAR semester and I got owned in the face. So...no, don't do it. There's no reason to - why, are you trying to graduate early or something?</p>
<p>hey tastybeef, I'm taking Bio 1A/AL right now. Was 1AL really intense? Lots of people say it is, and that Meighan is an *******, but how bad is it? Meighan, from what I see, seems to be a chill guy so far. Are lab exams manageable?</p>
<p>1AL was WAY more work than for the 2 units that it is assigned. It should be at least 3 units. Mike Meighan is a crappy lecturer and a douchebag in office hours - none of us really liked him.</p>
<p>The first lab exam is ok - fairly standard. The final lab exam is the really tough one. There are a ton of stations set up around the room and you have like 2 minutes per station to answer several questions. Each station will display something that you saw from lab - a dissected creature, skeletons, whatever.</p>
<p>This is a huge hint for you: BRING A CAMERA TO CLASS when you begin the second half of lab (dissections). It will help you a TON because there are just so many things to know. EVERYBODY takes pictures of everything in the room, most importantly the MARINE TANK. The marine tank is a station in the lab exam that was tough for me because it was hard for me to recognize certain things and unlike all the other stations, everything in the marine tank is live.</p>
<p>I am going to take Chem 3A+L and Stats 134 this summer, how is advisable is that?</p>
