I attended the Notre Dame Summer Scholars program last summer. Do I need to do a formal visit to express my interest to admissions? Will not visiting count against me?
No. You should, however, make some sort of contact with your regional rep.
What sort of contact? An email asking about a university program? Will an email asking if I should apply EA or RD, based off my attached credentials, suffice?
Hello, fellow Summer Scholar! Visiting the campus will not add/deduct any “points” from your application. Also, while emailing your regional rep is recommended, note that it is also not a pre-requisite to gaining admission. The best way to capture the hearts of the admissions table would be through your application essays.
