Any recommendations for Harvard Summer School Courses at Harvard that count towards College credit? One gen-ed (likely gov 20 or 30) and one elective, preferably a grade boosting elective?

thanks :)

If you are accepted into Harvard College, ALL four-credit courses taken at Harvard Summer School are transferable to the college. So, pick the course(s) that interest you the most!

One caveat: If you are a high school student, I would stay away from large gen-ed courses, as they tend to be lecture oriented, with little interaction between student and professor. Search for small seminar style courses (no larger than 15 students), so the professor can get to know you and your writing – and make sure to ask the professor for a recommendation to the college.

No, I’m a student. I want to do a gen-ed this summer and Harvard has a limited number of courses that are available to be taken as gen eds, especially considering that I only need 3 gen eds. And I also want to just take grade-boosting courses while I’ll be on campus in the area anyway. It’s just a way to clear up my tough science schedule next year.
