Summer School

Can someone give me a rough estimate of how much it cost to attend summer school and live on campus.

I have looked at what the estimated cost is on myfao.ucla.edu and it looks a little inflated. So I am hoping for a honest opinion

For 13 units and a 12-week stay in Rieber Hall (Triple, 15-meals/week), it should have been only $4969. I'll talk to FAO and see where all the inflated prices came from.

So far I've paid $5854.
$2,927.00 for 12-week Rieber Housing.
$2,948.00 for the tuition. (17 units)

I've talked to FAO. It seems that the figure they give you in your Summer eFAN also includes miscellaneous expenses such as books & supplies, transportation, personal expenses, etc.

Therefore, you only need to accept as much financial aid as you need to pay off your tuition and housing (and books, too). You don't need to accept all of your loans, as those are just for the misc. expenses that FAO factors in.

So, in my case, I was offered $7426 in aid, but I'm only required to pay off $4969 for tuition and housing. The excess aid (in loans, mostly) I can decline.

Any idea when roomate assignments will be assigned?
