I'm planning to take 3-4 summer classes here at SD Miramar College or Mesa College, but classes begin June 1. UCSD doesn't end until Jun12, how does that work? I'll be going through finals week while concurrently taking CC classes. Feasible?

yup?

or take a class that starts after finals. not all the summer classes start on the 1st

Do you guys know when the fall season starts for community college in SD?

have you checked their websites?

if they don’t have the fall 2009 schedule up yet, just go look at the archives from 2008 and calculate accordingly (ie, the first monday after labor day or whatever)

On a different note, but still about summer school:

Is ucsd summer school worth the costs? It’s pretty convenient getting all the busy-work classes done like labs, but the price is pretty steep.

well, it’s not like tuition during the regular school year is exactly cheap …

the only time i saw fit to take a class during summer school was when i knew the summer version was significantly easier than its school-year counterpart. as in, no finals, apathetic TAs … you get the idea :)

didn’t stop me from TAing for two summer sessions though, there’s good money to be made.

Unless you’re taking at least 19 (by my last calculation last year) units a quarter, the per quarter tuition is more expensive during the school year than it is over summer.

Take that into consideration (or do your own calculation based on the latest tuition/fee numbers)
