Summer Science Program (SSP) 2010

Just got my confirmation today; sent my application in via regular shipping on the 15th.

I just received my transcript from my Governor’s School of Sciences that I did last summer.

Should I fax this to SSP?

Email Bowdon first.

Just received confirmation a couple hours ago

Also, I emailed and Bowdon said although there are no “waves”, apps are evaluated as they come in. However, all decisions are released at the same time.

ok i got mine too =) whew

@Selena

Did you apply as a sophomore last year? I think I saw u in the other thread.

Hmm… still no confirmation email. Should I be worried?

Anybody here is sophomore now?

I heard among 32 people last year (one site), there were 8 international. That is a lot.

iceui2: if you are worried, just email them.

@mabsjenbu123

Then can we email them to see if we got in if we are dying from the anticipation?

I doubt he’d let us know in advance.

Did he say when they would tell us? Mid-April is a wide range.

Last year it was like April 9th

I don’t think there were 8 international…but quite a bit.

Socorro had 7 internationals last year. Countries represented were Greece, Turkey, England, Thailand, India, Canada, and Mexico.

bad, no chinese = =

lol

just wondering

approx how many asians were there last year?

@mabsjenbu123
yup i did =) glad you remember me haha

and idr but dont they ask for your race in the application?

umm i dont think so but still

they can easily tell for me (from my essays)

@mabsjenbu123: probably around half of the 35, maybe more.
