Summer Science Program (SSP) 2015

@Newdle @KoiRickTesta New Mexico! Seems like there are a lot of us here.

@fusioneer98 Thanks for the support! I was starting to get really worried :slight_smile:
but this is so intimidating, all these amazing people in one group? Maybe it’s too early still.

@violaqueen
Don’t worry! You will see at least one absentminded person (me) to compensate for excessively amazing population :slight_smile:

@violaqueen @fusioneer98 I think everybody feels that way, haha! Well, maybe except he sophomores…they’re quite genies, lol

@Newdle do you have any sophomores on your side? How do you know?

@violaqueen I can tell because of their FaceBook page :P… Just go to SSP 2015 Boulder and go through the members, lol… (don’t be creepy about it though, hehe)

They have been very generous!

Does anybody know how many people are in the Boulder / New Mexico Facebook Groups?

@KoiRickTesta There are about 24 students and 9 faculty on the SSP NM page. At least one of the students don’t have Facebook.
@Newdle I still can’t tell X) I’m going to believe everyone’s genius and be done with it.

BTW: I was at a college fair talking to a Caltech rep and I mentioned a summer astronomy program. Then the rep was like, is it SSP? and I was like YES! :smiley: So not sure, a fun anecdote?

For future readers in coming years, I never got off the wait-list.

If I had to suggest something, it would be to not turn in the application in the last hour of the last day of the last extension period.

Not gonna lie USPS Next-Day shipping was on point though.
