Summer Seminar 2005!

Did they really call them the Bravo Bumblebees? Last year it was Psycho Bravo, and that was kick a'.

yea, we were called the Bravo bumblebees. It was actually pretty funny

Bravo, I hate you guys!

You guys totally stole color company from Delta! I mean, didn't you hear us every night screaming and crap?

What did you all think of INDOC? Were the detailers scary?

My son was in Delta, I believe... In the CFa, he felt slow running since it was the last part. However, he loved the pull ups, push ups and situps. He loved the indoctrination at the end and the house of pain. They kept telling him his face looked scruffy and didn't he agree that girls won't like him....They said all sorts of "colorful" language to him and he had to not laugh... We'll get him home today and then he starts studying for finals....

Bring a garbage bag....

in response to magMa jr2, the reasons we got color company was simple, drill competition. My platoon, platoon 3 got first place followed by platoon 2 of Bravo, and platoon 1 of Bravo. Your delta platoon 2 i believe got fourth.

Don't worry about INDOC, i had a blast. The detailers yell at you for everything, but just remember one thing: they can't physically do anything to you and they don't want to. They are just trying to be scary. Just do what they say and admit that you are wrong all the time and you will be just fine! Good luck, have fun, bring lots of socks and a trashbag for those sea trials clothes.

I also heard that they had to jump off a high dive platform....

for the lejeune phase of sea trials, you hafta jump off a 5m platform. I heard that only one girl did not do it. Its not much higher than a high dive at a pool. I thought it was alot of fun

that should be awesome

SwimUSNA10, on the last day of summer seminar, you are given a chance to sit down and talk with the head coach of either the men's or women's swim team.

oo really...I know the mens coach but i never met the womens..that would be great cause that would be who i would need to talk to! right from summer seminar im goin to 2 swim camps....will not be able to go home n sleep for a week like lots of people were sayin they were going to be doin

Yeah, I get it now. I didn't know they used the drill competition for that.

Guess what? Our PC flat-out forgot our about faces (Delta 4)!

I wondered how they decided that cuz Delta was going nuts with the barking and stuff since the second day.

By the way, did anybody have to do anything ridiculous during the indoc thing? My friend got asked by a detailer to go find Mr. Rathbun (or something like that) and fortunately before he got too far, he heard someone address the same detailer by that name. Then, the detailer instructed him to tell his squadmate how to bang on a bulkhead, and when he did, another detailer told he he was "talking in his P-way." He then had to go find a non-air conditioned room to go address the person he was talking to, and effectively missed the last 10 minutes. That was the most bizarre sequence I heard of.

P.S. Obviously, don't call a girl 'sir.' I slipped, and so did another squadmate cuz we were so used to saying 'sir' that we did so, and we got a good 5 minute lecture on sex changes and stuff. =) (Believe me, it wasn't so funny then)

sandiegodude, what squad were you in? i Was in Bravo 3rd platoon as well! Did you have Mr. Moore, Mr. Brooks, Ms. Rosa, Mr. Stuart, or the other guy? GO BUMBLEBEES!!!!

delta rules all

Bravo 3-5: Stewart My name is Scott Jones

I was Bravo 3-2. My name is Jonathan Hooper. You were with Andrew werent you?

Charlie 1-1
NASS was awesome. I had alot of fun and sooo much insight on what the Naval Academy is all about. Every detailer said that plebe year sucks, EVERYONE, but I still think it's way worth it. We kinda got jipped on Sea Trials becasue of the 'Red Flag' and we were switched to Plan B: Indoor Sea Trials, which sucked pretty bad. I struggled a little, but I want to attend USNA now more than ever. I have a new outlook on life, home just isn't the same anymore......Good Luck Sessions 2 and 3, and get ready for 6 days of intense FUN!
ZN
