No, I was never banned lol.

It may seem ridiculous to make a thread, but considering that I haven't been on in so long and since I do care about my CC community, I figured that it would only be proper to make a thread lol.

I've been working hard at a part-time job in SF and have been taking a Genetics class at Berkeley session C. I'm not gonna lie, this schedule has ruined lots of my time and planning, and my summer has been a lot of work. My class has a solid amount of reading, but in reality, the difficulty is in the tests - as there are only 3 and 2 short papers. The tests are fully short/essay answer, and take 2-3 hours to complete on average.

Frankly, I'm not a fan of Genetics, nor am I a fan of waking up at 6:30 AM for school at 9:00 (as I had nearly all night classes during spring), but I guess that's part of the deal lol.

However, my professor is brilliant. She's a Harvard alumnus, and you can tell that when she's lecturing, Genetics and all of its interworkings and complexities is her life. She's tough, but motivating. I still can't believe the qualifications of my professor. Harvard, published, phD, esteemed/tenured professor, etc. The professors here (from what I can tell from 1 class lol) really are world-class. We also don't have a GSI since it's a summer class.

Anyway, this Genetics class, alone, has been more difficult than (I would say) 3 or 4 CCC classes together. This is mostly because of the difficulty of the tests and the caliber of kids in my class. I thought I was crazy about my note-taking, but there are some kids who are literally typing for 3 hours straight. Through 2 weeks of school, I already have over 50 pages of notes. Not fun lol. Alas, I need it for a prereq, so I had to take it at some point I suppose :/.

@ jane: Also, I want to address jane! I'm so sorry I haven't gotten back to you in forever. I've just been crazy busy and stressed. It's a bad combination for me, and I tend to shut down from networking online and everything. How's everything going for you, madre? Tell me everything about what's new! lol. I'll e-mail you too. See you at CalSO in the fall!!
