Summer Study Program

When searching for summer programs I came across the Summer Study Program at University of Colorado at Boulder. Its a little outside my price range, but is a pretty good match to one of my ideas for the summer. I like that there are classes, and then habitat for humanity volunteer opportunities.

I was wondering whether anyone here had ever been and could give me some more honest insight into the program?

hi. that wasn’t necessary. I’m not doing it to put on my resume, i honestly am looking for something to do with my summer. I’ve worked the past two years, but its near impossible to get a job anywhere, especially since I can’t drive.
I wanted originally to find a community service thing, something like the global leaders partnership (one of those places that go to Honduras etc) But they were to expensive.

Then I decided I really wanted to spend my summer writing, but knew that I would never find the time, so I wanted to go to a program for it.

But then I found this three week program that I could take classes for AND participate in habitat for humanity. I thought it was pretty perfect for me.

I’m not interested in community service simply to put it on my college resume, I genuinely want to help out people in need, and there aren’t as many organizations in my area.

And I’ve rekindled my love for writing and would enjoy the opportunity to improve my skills.

this is not to get into college.

brick walls are there to see how much you want them, send them a letter explaining your situation and they very well may give you F/A even if that’s not the norm, theyy’ll admire your initiative.
