<p>Are there any Summer Writing Workshops for high school students? I am a freshman going on sophomore year. Where are some of the best summer programs i can get to, in the Midwest?? </p>

<p>D, who is soon to start her first year at Oberlin and has a strong interest in creative writing, attended Iowa Young Writers’ Workshop the summer before her senior year in HS. She had a terrific experience there–she had also applied to Kenyon’s summer workshop, which also has an excellent reputation–but chose to attend Iowa. Northwestern and University of Chicago also have summer writing programs for HS students.</p>
