Do we have chances at merit scholarships, or did those being considered for them get a separate, special letter?

Ok, I feel a little better knowing that the other midwesterners still haven't gotten their invites. The worst thing is that I'm going to be gone for a couple of days, and I'm leaving tomorrow before the mail comes, so I won't know until Saturday afternoon. Good luck, everyone.

jenz129, no-one here has an actual 'congratulations you have been admitted' letter yet. This thread is all about the invitation card for April 3. Just to hint that we have been accepted.
Except for those whose invite said 'stern Scholars', which is a merit award to Stern, it does not look like CAS students got merit info.

Has anyone who applied to Gallatin received an invite? I applied to Gallatin with pretty good stats and did not...I'm really hoping for acceptance to NYU!

My daughter got an invitation yesterday to attend Sunday at the Square. I was checking this page to see what it was.

Yes, davidpien, I got an invite and I'm going to Gallatin.

Do you know if internationals get them or not?

I got one in the mail today.

In the words of Da Ali G, "BOO-YAH-KA-SHA!"

The letters have arrived in the midwest, as I got mine today, postmarked March 12th. I am so happy right now, I was jumping and screaming all the way from my mailbox back to my house when I saw "New York University" on the back of the fancy envelope! Us CCers are really having good success, congrats to all of you. Still debating whether to go to Sunday at the Square, but I'm glad to know it means I'll be eligible for some scholarships :) .

Got one today (minnesota). One less application to worry about!

A while ago I posted that a tisch kid had gotten one. I found out today that I was wrong, only gallatin, cas, and stern get something like this. Sorry...

I got one today, for gallatin. I live in MD. I guess my mails just slow??

I got mine today! Is anyone going? If I'm in NYC then, i think i'll go.

I got one for Gallatin today and I live in Texas. Not sure if I can go, though. :(

aww, so Tisch applicants don't receive them? Are you sure ? Atleast I don't have to worry now about not getting one though.

thats true pink!

im still not sure i can go... but i'd like to, but it really doesnt seem like a great 'experience' rather than just an honor to be invited, or am i completely alone with that opinion?

It isn't true that only Gallatin, Stern and CAS get invites to Sunday in the Square. I read in the NYU lj community today that someone who applied to Steinhardt received theirs today. Also last year there was a similar event only on the Saturday for Tischies. So yeah, they get them, too.

so, what's the menu like? Stern gets sit-down breakfast, and CAS gets light refreshments? And people are coming from how far for this......

Safiemilke, where'd you find out that tisch applicants don't get invites? thanks.

hahah
i'm gonna be crossing into a whole new state gasp

lol i'm pretty sure i'm going
