SUNet ID

So I'll admit, this may be a trivial question, but it's been bothering me and I was hoping for some input.

To register for Admit Weekend I need to decide on a SUNet ID, which then becomes my online ID for all things-Stanford (including email). It'll be the email I use to apply to Grad School or Internships or Jobs--so that's why I'm obsessing over it a bit much :P

Anyway, lets pretend my name is John Smith. My options are then:

jsmith2@stanford.edu
john@stanford.edu
johns@stanford.edu
jsmith17@stanford.edu

I'm leaning towards either jsmith2 or jsmith17 (17 obviously the year of graduation). I know this really isn't that important. Just hoping for some input.

I would not put a number in it. Are jsmith, john.smith, or smith.john available? john_smith?

No, we are only allowed letters and numbers (between 3 and 8 total characters).

jsmith is also not available.

What about “johns”?
