Well I have finally resigned to my fate of being forcefully moved to Sunset Village. In order to make my freshman year as smooth as possible (although already failing in that task), I would like to inquire to any helpful person out there that what does "CANYON A5" mean. This was found directly in front of my room number.

You're living in Canyon Point. I'm not sure what the A5 means. You can always call your roommates with the number after their name, or do a reverse directory search on their phone number using the UCLA directory to find their last names and find them on Facebook.

A5 just refers to the "house" you are in. Canyon Point has 8 or 9 I believe, so that just refers to which part of Canyon you are in. You are in house A5, room XXX.

In Sunset Village, Canyon Point has a certain number of houses, which are numbered A1, A2, etc. Delta Terrace has a certain number of houses, which are numbered B1, B2, etc. Courtside has a certain number of houses, which are numbered C1, C2, etc. I don't remember how many houses each has.

Sunset is close to the basketball courts (I thought they were going to be torn down, yet I saw them a week ago), close to places to eat, close to class, etc. It's nice.

awesome if you ever need a tennis opponent tell me, im not really good tho not like all those 4 year varsity players as I read on chance me threads months back... seriously every other person on chance me thread has varsity tennis lol

dude i cant believe they're getting rid of sunset basketball courts...friday afternoons were the best...getting your 4 and holding your court...the good ol' days

I heard they are going to be torn down this summer. Are they gone yet? I went to UCLA last week and they were still there.

Dude Jasonx88, tell me about it! Too bad Fridays were so packed. It took so long to get a game! I sprained my ankle twice in sunset though :(. Sprained it once, healed up after 3 weeks then sprained it again once I picked up my first game.

Omg, more tennis people? I really want to play people at UCLA. I'm definitely not too good, but once I get adjusted (haven't played in about 1.5 years) I can rally pretty well. I've pretty much lost my serve though :(.
