We live in NJ. My D is a junior. She really likes Binghamton. Seems they recruit from our high school. Several kids went there for the past few years. I don’t know any of these families. Just wondering does Binghamton give aid or some type of break to NJ residents on tuition? I don’t understand why families are sending their kids there and not to Rutgers or TCNJ. Just wondering.
We looked at SUNY schools and we’re in NJ. Out of state they are pretty much the same coast as the NJ schools are in state without any merit. Depending on her stats, she might get some merit from the NJ states, but average stats won’t.
NYS public schools are pretty good deals for OOS students. You can find the costs for SUNY Binghamton online and compare to what your cost would be for Rutgers or TCNJ. I know a number of NJ families who sent kids to the NYS public colleges.
