My junior is currently looking at nursing schools. She liked Brockport very much and is a strong honor student with 4.0 weighted GPA. Waiting for SAT scores. My concern is that it is not a direct admit. Many parents on these forums are convincing me that it is crazy to send a child to a non direct admit nursing program and I understand why. I cannot seem to find any info on Brockport stats, seats available, how many accepted in college junior year and how many rejected. While i think she is very capable of making the program, I almost think it is irresponsible to set her up for possible failure. Seems sadistic to work your butt off for nursing and then learn you did not make the cut. Would love to hear from anyone with Brockport nursing info. Thanks in advance.
