SUNY Help

Hey... I applied to Binghamton Early Action using the SUNY app, not the common app. I was never asked to submit and essay or anything... What do I do? I revceived a confirmation letter in the mail today, and I'm wondering what I do now because I'm sure I can't get in Early Action without an essay...

The supplemental Bing. application is on the SUNY website. If I were more computer literate, I'd link it to you. But it is there.
If you cannot find it, then speak to your Guidance Counselor tomorrow (or call some friends up) as I am sure someone was able to find the supplemental essays on the Suny website.

Hello Freestyla,

Don't think that just because it is a SUNY school it is a shoe-in. Binghamton received over 20,000 applications last year and it is one a few SUNY's who have a two-part application. The first part is purely the score part but the second part does ask for an essay. If both are above the other applicants you will hear from the university in the beginning of Decenber. D's friends who had mid 1200 scores on math/verbal waited a very long time to hear from Bing.

Good luck.

Definitely not a shoo-in; I believe last year they stopped taking apps before the official deadline because they were so overwhelmed. Good to apply early!

When did I even imply that I thought Bing was a shoo-in for me? However, I think I will likely get in anyway.

Thank you for telling me about the supplemental app. That's what I needed to know about.
