SUNY Purchase Acting Audition

Hello fellow thespians,

I applied to the BFA program expecting to get an email with a link leading to a place where I could schedule an audition at the on-campus location. I found out that even though I had sent in my application ten days before the deadline, all audition slots had already been filled. However, I have the option of auditioning by being a walk in and just showing up early and waiting patiently. Since I do not live in New York and am only going to be there to audition to one other school, I don’t want to extend my trip for this audition unless its actually likely to happen.

Has anyone been in this situation before? Has anyone done a walk-in audition? And out of those of you who have, have any of you made it into an acting program?

I am eager to hear what you have to say:)

I’m supposed to audition for Jazz Studies, and I’ve been awaiting an email too. How do I check if the audition slots are filled? I found a page on the site that lists the audition dates but not the actual time slots.

The only way I found out was by emailing the admissions office and asking why I had not yet received the email that was supposed to lead me to a site where I could set up an audition time. I would suggest doing that, just go right to the source.

S had same problem. Suggest you call them directly.
