Okay so, I got my SAT scores in today and I'm reallly disappointed. Being Canadian, I didn't know much about it or study at all. I'm still really upset though. I scored 590 in math, 660 in writing and 690 in reading. So terrible. Any advice on how to imprvoe if I take it again?

just study. math is the easiest score to bring up.

It's really weird though, I took a practice test and I got 790 in math and low 600's in the other categories. I thought math was the easiest portion of it too. And on the practice test I took I got a 12 on the essay, and on the real one I got an 8. Ugh I just don't get it.

I got a 2060.. I am super disappointed

that's really not what I want to hear right now.

How did you score a practice essay?

Statistically speaking, your first SAT will be your worst score. Coming from personal experience, I thought I had nailed the March test but came out with a score 100 points below what I had anticipated. Just keep trying.

don't worry if its your first test.
i went up 160 points on my second one. it's really true that most people do not do their best on their first test. (rhyme! :] )

okay thank you so much for the encouragement! and on collegeboard you can take a practice test where they score your essay.
