Super frustrated -- should I give up and send in my ACT?

I applied Yale EA and chose not to send in my ACT scores. Unfortunately, I only took the SAT once, in October, and my scores have been repeatedly delayed. Today I was told they won't be posted until Wednesday, the 25th. If they even are, will they get to Yale in time, or should I go ahead and send my less than stellar ACT scores? When does Yale actually review applications?

well what was your “less than stellar” ACT score?

I’m pretty sure they start looking at apps in mid-Nov. Aka like right now, or any day now. What SAT scores are you waiting for? Have you taken both and only sent one set in? It depends on what your ACT scores are. Is less than stellar like lower than 30?

Not less than 30, no. They say that November SAT scores usually reach them in time, but I’m guessing that’s for SAT scores that applicants choose to send before seeing them?

then what is it…

If you have a score that is over 30, that’s not less than stellar.

Well, for the sake of answering this question I will assume that the ACT is a real test…however that in itself is a stretch. If you are over a 30 on the ACT you have a decent score. However if you are at a 33 or lower that is by no means “stellar” for Yale. In fact, if you are unhooked it is probably below average. So, before anyone can seriously answer this question your going to have to be specific about your scores.

Regardless of whether my ACT is stellar, I should clarify my real question, which is: If I don’t get my SAT score until Wednesday and then promptly send it, will Yale receive in time for review? Because if they won’t, then I have no choice but to send my ACT score.

I don’t like sharing test scores, even if it’s anonymous.

they will take your top score anyway. so better be safe, if it worries you.
